On Traveling In Australia

Though Australia is pretty expensive, and I initially got sticker shock from the prices, it looks like I'll be able to keep a three-week stay here down to about a thousand dollars. That is cheaper than I live in Austin. There are a lot of people here from countries where people make a fraction of what people make on the US, and they are able to save up for this type of adventure. Many Americans (but not all, I have definitely meet exceptions) have a mindset that keeps them from considering long-term travel as an option, and think you have to be rich to do this.
