Kachemak and Voznesenka, AK, 5/6/2014

I took a side trip out East End Road in Homer, Alaska. It ended up being longer than I thought. I went through the old Russian villages of Kachemak and Voznesenka and ended up on a narrow, steep, windy, rutty dirt road in pouring rain. I was going to try to get to the end of the road, but there was no way my car would have made it down that cliff. I was pretty amazed I made it back from where I was without getting stuck.
